Ghost Hunt at The Crescent Hotel

I’ve been wanting to visit The Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs for years. Many of my friends and family boasted about their fun experiences and creepy encounters. Finally it was my time to visit. Once again I dragged my sister, Carol, along for the ride. Luckily, she’s also a big fan of ghost hunting.

The creepiest part of the trip was the drive down. Being a new customer of a GPS, I mistakenly allowed this gadget to guide me to the hotel. We drove down narrow, washed out dirt roads that no sane person would ever attempt. I was certain I’d bust a fuel or water pump before we arrived at our destination.

Finally,  miraculously we arrived at the hotel. I told the clerk about our horrifying trip and he replied, “You have a GPS?” He nodded as if this happens all the time. I was not amused.

The ghost tour began with a brief history of the hotel. We followed our guide on a tour of the morgue and eventually to the rooms in the hotel which they claimed to be the most haunted.

Unfortunately nothing interesting happened during the tour. Later that evening, Carol and I toured the hotel and the grounds on our own. We took pictures of anything of interest, but we saw and heard nothing suspicious.

However, when we looked at our pictures later, we noticed something that might be interesting. If you’ll look to the right of the posted picture, you’ll see what looked to me like a woman in a long flowing white gown and white hat. I had to Google to see if the Hotel ever experienced such an apparition. It did – A woman in a flowing gown who floats through the garden and perches on balconies image12

is a frequent guest of the hotel. Tell me what you think?

  1. Very creepy! The only spooks I want to encounter are the kind that work for the CIA. Enjoyed this.
